INSPIRATION
Undersummers Shortlettes were created for CarrieRae's personal need for comfortable thigh protection. In 2011, while she was working as a teacher, CarrieRae’s beautiful thick thighs rubbed and she needed a comfortable solution. Pants are blazing hot in the Houston spring and summer months, cut-off nylons roll up on you, and shorts are not always acceptable to wear to work, so she was left with capris and dresses. Her thighs did not support wearing dresses; thigh chafing was too uncomfortable. She needed an anti-chafing underwear solution that would support her desire to wear dresses. That’s when the idea was born and her Undersummers brand was made. CarrieRae created the solution to her problem: The Original Lace Shortlette®️, something to wear that was a single layer, the legs stayed put and was comfy and pretty.
